The San Francisco tower will be their world headquarters.

If you watch it live for a bit you will see the camera regularly get repositioned down and to the right or down and to the left. I happens for just a few seconds and then goes back to the regular head on view. Its almost like someone is trying to do something off camera for a minute and then they let the camera back on once they are complete.

It's normal. It's to take the still photos for the individual cam 1/2/3/4 archives.

^I assume it will become a temporary platform/bridge to allow the crew to quickly access the first floor of the building from the yard/laydown area.

I saw an interview with Benioff on CNN today. The green screen background image was SF skyline from the Treasure Island view or so. What was interesting, however, was that a completed Salesforce Tower was included in the image.

Im surprised by the overall blockiness of the form!! (ya think they would have continued the sharpness of the pattern down to the street, or else connected it to the street/better landscaping!

Cool project though....even if it seems like an evolo copy!!

It looks like they are setting up concrete forms for the 'keyhole' of the transbay center.

It is amazing how much Salesforce already dominates the context of this block when walking by. Two new office buildings, and this. This is a very dense part of the city and it is mesmerizing to be there. There are workers going 24/7, and the night was so calm and well lit due to low clouds and bright construction lights that workers were moving as if it was broad daylight.

This is going to be a neighborhood monster by the end of the year..the forms are moving so fast I would not be surprised if the core nearly tops out by the end of December. I am guessing its just under 200 feet, and will be at ~225 feet by the middle of April. That means since the beginning of Jan (approximate street level date on core), about 75ft per month on the core. So for the remaining ~9 months about 675 feet, which brings the core to 900 feet by the end of Dec. Most likely the core shrinks a little bit about halfway up, so the form raising will be even faster. Please note, my estimates are just that.
