I'd like to throw in my experience at the restaurant and bar at the nearby Hotel Eastlund, Altabira. We had drinks there up on the rooftop patio and it was one of the best views in the city! Much better than Departure or Portland City Grill (since you are looking at downtown). Service was great, patrons were friendly.

So things are improving! Also, apparently there is a major weed shop across the street from the Conv Center so there's that.

Otherwise, I agree with you.
