I wish they had built that viewing platform a bit closer to the edge, because it was kinda hard to see the area close to the WTC.

^^^ I've always wondered how much better the WTC could have been had they not built the superblock, and left Greenwich Street intact. In other words, only the towers themselves with the Vista International, eschewing the other lowrise buildings. It would have made for a better scaled, more interesting street presence.

What floor are we on now?
When is the antenna going to be installed?
When is base cladding going to begin?
Why hasn't glass gone up since yesterday?

"Aw, dang it, I can't believe they redesigned the Vista Hotel!"

" What? They're adding an antenna on the North Tower? That will totally ruin the entire complex."

"Great. Just great This new so-called World Financial Center will totally take away from the twin towers and make them look less dominating."

"Does anyone know what will be built on that trapezoidal-shaped plot North of Tower 1? Hopefully a seventh building?"
"Oh, don't expect anything to be built there for a long time. Silverstein is still looking for tenants for Tower 2, much less a seventh building."

"Freaking Chicago. We've barely had the twin towers, the world's tallest buildings, for a year, and they already want to build a taller one? What the hell?! It'll ruin their skyline, too. I hope it gets cancelled."

"Great. Now Canada's doing it too."

"I hope they don't scrap plans for the restaurant in tower one."

"Tower two is just going to take away from tower one's dominance in the skyline."

"The Empire State Building has been NYC's tallest for 40 years! I hope they build these towers shorter!"

Kanto Sr.: "They should rebuild Radio Row but taller and stronger. It's a crime that Larry built these towers instead of showing justice for the shop owners. BUILD RADIO ROW II"

" So, all the weight is distributed to the core and walls only? That sounds dangerous"

" That sphere will ruin the entire plaza."

"What's the name of that black building going up where the Singer Building once stood?"

Re-living history. Amazing.

Let's do the same at the ESB thread.
