BA reminds me of San Francisco for some reason, except that I don't sense the mist in the air from any of these photos that I get when I see pics of SF. But that's because I've been to SF and not BA.

Keep them coming!

Does B.A. have a somewhat L.A. feel to it, that's kinda what I get from these photos. I could be completely off base though.

^You're the third person to say that.... Though, having lived in LA, I don't think it is anywhere near as good looking as Buenos Aires is in these photos.

I think B.A. has a lot more texture than L.A., is maybe what it is.

Wow - another sumptuous tour. I guess BA must be one of those cities that has a bit of everything, because it reminds people of so many different cities. When I see all those 19th/early 20th century gems like this one, it's Paris or Brussels that comes to mind.

In the winter the mist is al around in Buenos Aires, sometimes you can´t see anything at all... Today was the first day of mist of the year... obviously We are getting into the winter time... Today´s temperature was 42 °F....

Although, the truth is that Buenos Aires doesn´t look like San Francisco...

We're very fortunate to see this side of Buenos Aires cause if you weren't there I don't think anybody else would be venturing around to these parts of the city. I love all the character of the hoods you're visiting.

As far as the LA references I just don't see it.

LA has about a trillion times more ethnic/racial diversity than does BA. BA is a monoculture. BA is about a trillion times more pedestrian-friendly than is LA. I don't think BA compares fairly to any North American city except perhaps Montreal.

Awesome city.

And I counted pictures of 3 different, cute girls sitting across a table from you. Have fun on your trip?

I would take BA over LA any day of the week.

not sure what I expected coming into this, but the city seemed a little more empty/hallow than I thought. Maybe you intentional stayed away from the busy areas...

either way, i enjoyed your shots, nice work

Would you buy a BA chick a bunch of flowers with a Mr T card attached to em?

Rhetorical.

LA is certainly more diverse than Buenos Aires but at the same time, most people tend to forget that much of Latin America welcomed waves of immigrants just like the US and Canada, and Buenos Aires is perhaps the best example of that (with MAYBE the exception of Sao Paulo as far as cities go).

Obviously you're not going to get the same amount of diversity in Buenos Aires as you'd get in L.A., but it's certainly not THAT much of a gap. Due to the turbulent political developments in Argentina and their subsequent effects on the economy in the last century, immigration slowed drastically whereas in LA, people kept coming in massive numbers. If this was about 80 years ago, Buenos Aires would make LA look like a little hilltown in West Virginia in terms of diversity.

Just looking at the various houses of worship around Buenos Aires, you can see how diverse the the city is based on the religion and the denomination of that religion. Hell, I lived within a couple of square blocks of not one but two Russian Orthodox churches in BsAs. There's even a Chinatown along with a few other Chinese enclaves within various barrios along with not just massive European communities representing all parts of the continent but a large Armenian contingent, Middle Easterners (primarily Israelis - one of the world's largest Jewish populations by city - Syrians, and Lebanese) and of course, many people from fellow Latin American nations of all races.

Sorry about going on a rant there.
