During my lunch break as well as my two other "coffee" breaks today, I took my camera out for a spin in Downtown Calgary. Pulling an all out tourist, I managed to get a decent number of shots in the short amount of time I had.
Here're the cream of the crop:
Stephen Ave:
The Bow:
Eighth Avenue Place coming along nicely:
Not sure what this is to, but it's on Stephen Ave:
Downtown Firestation:
Husky Center:
Knox Church, I do believe:
Petro Canada Center:
Calgary Court Building:
Calgary Tower:
The Bow, looking from across the street:
Clock across from the Petro Canada Center:
Mural on the Wall of a building: (Not sure of it's location)
Buildings I don't know the name of:
Crane on top of the Bow:
Toronto Dominion Bank:
I found it funny that they skipped floor 13: (If you look closely)
The Roger's Building:
Banker's Hall:
For some reason, I want:
BMO Building:
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make my way over to the good stuff. Such places as 14th Ave (Colors, Chocolate, etc.), Le Germain, and the Stampede grounds (For veTro and arriVa).
Also, if you're wondering why I chose to go Monochrome for all my shots... I, for one, like it. And two, it was grey anyways, might as well go all out.
EDIT: My setup, if you're wonder:
Camera: Canon EOS XSi (400D)
Lens: Canon EFS 18-55 1:3.5-5.6 IS
Extra Gear: My delightful SmugMug strap and a cheap "fotosource" tripod
