601 Davis Project - Evanston

Hello Everyone (re-posting from the 601 Davis specific page):

Here are a few new images of the proposed new development at 601 Davis St in Evanston.

The project will be in front of the Planning and Development Committee of the Evanston City Council on Monday evening January 22 at 715pm.

Comments about the project are being collected through this link for review and consideration by City Council.

The project replaces a vacant parcel and a decades old Chase drive-thru with a new 33 story building (7,500sf of ground floor retail with podium parking and a setback tower).

Final design has been approved for the Millennial Tower. Columbus will be adding two new 400+ footers to the skyline within the next several years (The first being this). The tower will add 720,000 square feet of office, retail, hotel, residential restaurant and parking garage space to the RiverSouth neighborhood. At 412 feet tall, the building will become the 10th largest in the city, and second tallest residential building.

Two great looking tower additions for Columbus

The tallest with residential would be the Leveque Tower at 556 feet but it is mixed use with the residential at the higher levels. The tallest all residential is Miranova at 314 feet.

Thanks. That's what was confusing me; I thought I had missed some new construction tower or something.

Hey Chris. Long time! Just thought I would drop in and check things out. Good to see Cbus building some new towers! I got your email about the meet-up and then got locked out of my email before I could reply. Good to hear from you and thanks for the invite! I am in Phoenix now. Been out here going on about 6 years.

So, was reading on about the residential and just wanted to reply to LMich (long time to you too!). I think the Edgecliff Condos in Cinci are in the 323' range (if my memory serves me) making it the 2nd tallest all residential in Ohio. Of course it's all condos though with around 3 units per floor, but residential either way.

Anyway. I think I'll be lurking around here a little and will chime in from time to time. I've been keeping up on Dayton developments. Good things happening to my hometown!

We were talking about Columbus, specifically.
