Oh, I didn't mean for a second to sound like I was pooh-poohing the Nuggets. I'm a huge fan. I was only commenting that the Nuggets doing so well is quite the turnaround when the Nugs were woeful, the Broncos were winning Super Bowls, the Avs going deep into the playoffs, and I was getting maced in the face by the police downtown.
I will say, though, that I am happy that Utah finished No. 8 so that it will be the Lakers facing the Jazz in round one over the Nuggets.
I don't think Denver can beat LA. They just don't match up well. But I think LA is beatable by Portland or even the well-coached Jazz. The Nuggets may make a surprising run.
