lower manhattan has several towers rising higher than the goldman sachs in jc (781ft), as aig (952ft), 40 wall (927ft), beekman (870ft), one chase manhattan plaza (813ft) and woolworth (792ft).
on topic: as the tower reaches for the sky more and more people are starting to realize, that "something is going on" down there. just yesterday a colleague of mine asked me if the new freedom tower is finally above ground... because she noticed "something" tall when coming into manhattan .
Back on topic: Nice photos, Upward. It's really becoming a part of the downtown skyline now. Judging by the dawn's early light in the snowy photo, you were up early.

That's very typical. A lot of New Yorkers don't seem aware of what's happening down there because of the years of delays.
This will be a very interesting spring when the tower starts to loom above Downtown.
“Office buildings are our factories – whether for tech, creative or traditional industries we must continue to grow our modern factories to create new jobs,” said United States Senator Chuck Schumer.

Buildings Over 200 Meters 62 Completed 20 Under Construction 50 Proposed 0 On Hold
Pic 24 Is Great... You Can Make Out How The Tower Will Be In Glass..... Seems Like They Have Been Stuck On 6 Floors Of Glass For A While.... Probably The Snowy Conditions....
These modern towers looming over this 17th Century cemetary and Church (which George Washington attended when NY was the capital of the newly-formed US) is a great site!

Surely you must mean the 18th century, as in the 1700's? St.Paul's Chapel was completed in 1766 according to Wikipedia, but it doesn't say if the cemetery is older.
I think this building is going to look best at about 5:00 p.m. in the winter months when the sun is setting and people are still in their offices with the lights on. That way you'll be able to see how many floors it has and it will appear even taller than during the light of day (see newhannibal's photo above for reference).
