Looks to me that they are in fact beyond the 7 floor podium now. If you look at the KPI cam you can see over the past week the back half is rising above the podium.

I thought maybe they were waiting to make it official on the day of or after the topping out of 1 WTC. I know the company making the steel for 3 wtc or 175 greenwich said it was a full go. The way things are looking is great. It will be fun to see another tower going up, as 1 and 4 come to a close.

Not 'bad' news at all, just the same news we've known since 2010. The firm is fully committed to seeing the project through, however is constrained from doing so until the minimum leasing requirements are met. Nothing new here - however if the speculation from a few weeks ago was bought into, I can 'understand' the disappointment.

Sure, but if you *know* that another of these monotonous false alarms is coming, you don't have to stick around and open your mouth for ppl to shove it down your throat in the first place. That's what's known in technical jargon as "gluttony for punishment".

I refered to this article as bad news because there were rumors going around saying it could continue.

With the Hudson Yards towers awaiting, I am afraid Silverstein and the PA will even find it harder to look for tenants for the whole site. So if they wait for a tenant, they won't build it any time soon...

However, as they say : "There is no smoke without fire". This rumor must have a part of truth.

When you simply take into account the fact that they have already spent a huge amount of money on this project, I can not imagine a single second that they could cap it at eight floors. There are a lot of materials awaiting somewhere in a wharehouse ready to be shipped to the site and be assembled. They have already spent too much for this tower. They will build it, with or without a major tenant, albeit at a very slow pace in the second case.

I honestly think that this tower won't be built if they don't find a tennant.
It was very idiotic for Larry To purchase steel he might never use.

And we still don't have proof that he purchased the entire order of steel. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever as I've previously stated on this forum.
