It's funny to think at the start of the boom Pantages went up and at 40 floors people were excited about it's height and how we looked forward to more buildings of it's scale. This will dwarf Pantages.

So many people were talking about how impressive this area is becoming while walking to Rogers last night. Great to see the jerseys Downtown again!

just received this email.

The wait is over. Mizrahi Developments is pleased to announce that construction of the commercial component at THE ONE has officially begun, and as a priority registrant, you are the first to hear the news!

Mizrahi Developments is delighted to be collaborating with world-renowned architects Foster + Partners on what is sure to be the most talked about and iconic superstructure in Canada.

Designed as an innovative hybrid exoskeleton, much of its support is on the exterior. Engineered to be six times stronger than a typical high-rise, The One soars into the sky at the corner of Yonge & Bloor, Canada’s most well-known and popular intersection.

Our Presentation Gallery for THE ONE will open in October 2017, and your exclusive invitation to our preview event will arrive soon.

In the meantime, we invite you to please provide us with more details about what type of residence you are interested in, to help our team prepare for your visit with the information you require, and to make sure that we have your most up to date contact information.

I noticed a shoring rig being setup.

What a weird mailer. It's unnecessarily specific and honest.

But do we add it to the list?

They're own words are that the commercial component has begun.

The commercial component is part of the tower, so if the commercial component is under construction the tower is under construction. If they cap it, then toss it into the "on hold" category.

I walked by again today, and yes, they are setting up the shoring rig.

Not yet fully together when I walked by, was in pieces, but the parts are on site.

I have a friend who works with GFL's shoring operation and he said they were still waiting on the big boring equipment coming from Europe - some of these super caissons are 12 feet wide

Would really be a waste to build something with such a hefty foundation only to cap it off.
