It is good to see activity in this town.

Thanks, the last 15 years have been busy, with more to come.

Here's three entries from the Ithacating blog about multi-family projects in the suburbs:

A couple of opinion articles from two local news organizations about the good and bad issues with all the new development in the city:

Looks like the Harold's Square project will officially get under way "soon".

Even though higher education (and the students who come with it) are the lifeblood of Ithaca, not everyone is happy with college students living in their neighborhood. An article from the Ithaca Voice:

https://ithacavoice.com/2017/10/city...ng-south-hill/

For the record, I grew up in the "student ghetto" of the Collegetown neighborhood. Loved it.

Some interesting (and at least on controversial) proposals seeking New York State development grant money (from the Ithaca Voice):

https://ithacavoice.com/2017/10/down...opment-grants/

Not sure I agree with the 2nd project the city selected to be an applicant. Here's more about that project (from the Ithaca Voice):

Amazing to see all the development happening there, such an exciting tiny city.

Yep, the city has been on a nice development streak for a decade now. Not easy to do in Upstate New York.

Not exactly a big project, but the completed renovation of an Aldi market in the city's Northside (an under served part of town) is good news for the local residents. From the Ithaca Voice:

https://ithacavoice.com/2017/10/gall...fresh-upgrade/

Also from the Ithaca Voice is news of a proposed shopping plaza in the Village of Lansing:
