^Thanks for posting those. They were both very interesting. I like how Matt Lauer brings up the "great" Whistler nightlife. It's funny how he says with a smirk "as you well know" to Bob Costas like as if he's had a rough night out on the town there once.

Wonderful. Thanks so much.

I remember the Coldplay video vividly at the first Volunteer Information session a year and a bit ago. I had asked if they were going to release that video onto the site then and am glad to see it there and here.

I love that video!

I know that not everyone supports 2010 but I still believe that at the end of the day,the benefits will far outweigh the negatives.

I can't believe that in a few days, we only have one year to go! Wow!

A few video games are coming out for the 2010 Games!

Nintendo is making versions "Olympic Winter Games" for both the Wii and DS....the game itself is being produced by SEGA. It'll be in stores in time for the Christmas shopping season.

Official game website: http://www.olympicvideogames.com/

NBC's Vancouver logo is so much more visually appealing than their London logo.

Whats up with Shitty London logos anyways?

NBC is going bankrupt after the 2010 Games.

Obviously, not the case.

NBC hasn't figured out how they will brand the London 2012 Games coverage, that's not the actual logo. Their main focus right now is the up and coming Games north of the border, and they are treating Vancouver 2010 as if it were just like an Olympics being held in America.

Then why would they broadcast it like it's happening in America?

I like their choice of pirate music too.

lol, well Vancouver is just right across the border and it's the first time since Salt Lake that NBC will be able to air all events LIVE rather than pre-recorded and edited since we're in the same timezone. It's potentially a major money maker, and you can expect many more than usual to tune in for that warm-good feeling since we're in a recession. This pattern was already seen with the record breaking tv ratings for the Superbowl a few weeks ago.

Keep in mind that NBC paid $800-million for the 2010 tv rights, and is spending a further $100-million for operational expenses here in the city.

This is a great collection, x2. Thanks for posting them all in one place.

I have always wanted to get a high-def full screen version of the 2010 Celebrate the Possible video. Even on the vancouver2010 site, it is a really small-size video, which surprises me.

Hope some of them are on DVDs they release at the time of and after the games.

I was impressed with the news videos as well. You are correct about the English Al Jazeera one. It was one of the better previews, though I liked the fluffier Today Show one as well. I know some folks are still wary of English Al Jazeera, especially in the US; but more often than not their coverage reminds me of BBC. Their news coverage is typically very high quality.

Anyway, thanks again for posting all of these videos in one place.

Al Jazeera, at least when I watched it in Europe, seemed like the least biased source of information. Specifically, I remember during the Beijing Olympics their coverage of the war was way better than any of the other stations...they had more coverage of both sides and stuff.
