Here's a picture of the 20 Blackfriars Road tower which has been rumoured for some time now.
The height is thought to be somewhere between 175 and 200m, and it would stand next to the Beetham Tower.

"...Modernist towers tend to be very perfect forms and rely on repetitive cladding. But in today’s
environmentally-conscious world it doesn’t make a lot of sense for the north elevation to be the same
as the south, so we try to create excuses to introduce difference. There are games you can play,
such as curves, but the client for the South Bank tower did not want curved forms, so we are looking
at a more angular geometry and breaking up the façade into planes. Putting diagonal crease lines in it
is the easiest description, like cars where a very fine crease line catches light differently so it changes
the appearance."

-- Chris Wilkinson, Wilkinson Eyre Architects

Updated my 2012 rendering to include 20 Fenchurch, 20 Blackfriars, Beetham Tower, Doon Street, Kings Reach reclad and height increase. Also shifted DIFA to the south a little. Minerva has been airbrushed out. Broadgate will be completely obscured by the dome of St Paul's from this angle. 80-88 Bishopsgate would appear almost directly behind Tower 42 from this angle and be slightly shorter.

122 Leandenhall (225m), 20 Fenchurch Street (160m) and Shard London Bridge (306m) will start construction early next year.

Willis Building (125m) and Broadgate Tower (164m) are u/c.

There are also a couple of skyscrapers u/c in Canary Wharf.

The redesigned 20 Fenchurch Street (160m) designed by Raphael Vinoly - City of London - will be submitted to the Planning and Transportation Committee next Thursday (19/09) with recommdenation that planning permission be granted.

Rhe footprint of the building at street level has been reduced by 31%. One of the most distinctive features of the building is the high level sky garden located above level 36. The sky garden would be accessible to the public and free of charge during normal office hours. The space totals 32.33 sq.m with a further 439 sq.m on 2 external terraces to the north and south.

The site is vacant and the developer - Land Securities - has secured the financing of the scheme which will be built speculatively.

Construction is expected to start later this year (after wind study, etc. has been provided to the Corporation).

Awful, awful news. This is one of the crappest examples of modern architecture I've ever seen. It will ruin the City skyline.

Will, I am surprised you have come to see the redesigned building because it has not been on display to the public.

Could you please post the official renderings of the redesigned building made by DP9 so that I can also make my own opinion.

nice job, South.

Be cautious however:

Beetham Tower is not going ahead as represented. It is being fully re-designed with a significant cut in height.

Doon street is very unlikely to ever be built. And at present 20 Blackfriars Road is nothing more than a vision.

That's too bad. It was one of my favourite projects.
I'm glad that, apparently, the construction of the shard of glass is imminent.

Some worthwhile pics Will.

Here is a photomontage from Stanhope Plc, appointed by Difa for pre-development of DIFA Bishopsgate Tower. I do not think this one has been shown yet:

And another one of Wallbrook Suare (completion date phase 1: 20111, phase 2: 2014):

Yep, new renderings have been released. Here is another one in very low resolution. Hopefully the hi-res will be available fairly soon:

The entrance:

Also this mixed use scheme is confirmed to start spec. in Croydon in early 2007:

That looks like the original Suffolk House design, but slightly shorter.
