ah yes . . Righto . . blue window film . .
don't know why I was so clueless . .
a good thing then . . and of some solace . .
knowing that this tallest building,
could've actually been even worse . .
though more distinctive . .

Big fan of this tower. It definitely is not as "elegant" as some of its neighbors but its brut force in the skyline will be awesome. Plus the cantilever is great. An offset spire would be a nice addition though but not complaining. Any city in the world would be proud to have a project like this going on. Exciting stuff happening in NYC.

"Any" city probably would, but there's so much going on in New York, we asks that our "tallest" give us a little more effort. As I've said, this building would be perfectly fine anywhere else. On the Manhattan skyline, it's begrudgingly acceptable at best. But maybe Gary Barnett has another trick up his sleeve to make up for this one. I agree that it's exciting times though. Lots of major additions going up.

Minus the cheating spire atop of 1 WTC, Central Park Tower will be the tallest building in the city!

I can't see this thing going up in Paris or London. The design reviews their would eat it for breakfast.

Great shots, NYguy; you can really appreciate how much this tower will contribute to NYC.
Below all of that netting, we see the glass fascade climb upwards.

I agree that this tower does not belong in Paris or London. I suppose I was speaking in more of a figure of speech. I will be less general next time

I love the photo showing Queens in post #5508. Queens is a very underrated borough. My 2nd favorite one, morose than Brooklyn. Manhattan being first.

Queens is where you can really get some of the most jaw-dropping perspectives of the city along with the melting-pot effect. We all like to think Manhattan, but Queens is a treasure cove of ethnic enclaves of all types, a real urban and cultural destination. From certain avenues, towers like 432 Park and CPT shine from a distance.

Don’t forget some really fantastic views from the subway elevated lines.
