Well I'm back from the doctor and everything seems to be OK, perhaps way too much caffeine? At least it's not my heart or blood pressure. All I accomplished today was getting Dr. Wang to reprimand me for not coming in more. Haven't paid him a visit since 2008 and haven't had a full physical since....errrr.......I'm guessing a few of you weren't even born when I had my last full physical, sooooo in the next few weeks I'll be getting blood work, a colonoscopy (goddamnit) and a full, after 50 checkup.....YAY!

Congrats! The best part about living in the US is that you actually have to deal with a bill for all that.

Glad that everything came back ok. Years ago I had a panic attack in my early twenties, and I thought I was having a stroke. Panic attack is not the right word but i developed a bad limp and the side of my face went numb, and I practically crashed my car into the hospital. In my mid twenties I developed high blood pressure... Being a Midwesterner doesn't help, with the gallons of beer and lbs of pork. I'm kind of worried I might pull a Dick Cheney when I'm in my mid 30s...

My addition to the Random:

Why is it that I like to eat roasted salted peanuts in the shell? History however has taught me to make sure I chew thoroughly. Ouch! Bubble gut has nothing on anal fissures.

Bad limp and face going numb? Damn, if that wasn't a stroke it was about as close as you can get to one. Is your blood pressure under control now?

What is weird is that it was a weird gait more than a limp, sometimes associated with brain lesions (according to google...). It did go away. The blood pressure is more under control, I have a VERY hard time controlling stress, beer, and pork, though.....it's a cycle, really...

When I work out and eat right I get even more stressed out...

Glad it was good news rock. I know it's hard to put up with those full exams, but it's gotta be done after 50. Same with the colonoscopy (don't worry they knock ya out for that one - nice nap). Now if we could only get you to see the shrink............

You might prefer to be knocked out the first few times, but eventually, you'll come to enjoy it.

BTW, I missed my 8-year anniversary here. Oh well. It was the 10th.

Glad to hear that you're okay Rocky. It sounds like you're in better shape than some of us younger folks who tease you old farts.

Cindy Crosby is an asswipe. One of my coworkers (who likes the Penguins but hates Crosby, rightly so) has predicted that St. Louis will win the cup this year. He is in a "real" hockey pool with 50 people and it costs 20 dollars to join, as opposed to our "imaginary" hockey pool with 20 people that only cost 10 dollars to join. (I didn't join it. I think I was the only one. I don't really care about hockey, except for the shirtless lockerroom interviews segment.)

For kids who do not like to follow rules and obey adults, then I guess I can be somewhat mean. However, I'm pretty sure that I'm not a racist and would never say something as silly as "white people have dirty teeth." He will probably next tell his teacher that I said that Obama was born in Kenya, has a fake birth certificate, and wants to kill all right-handed people.
