Leafs are in an interesting spot with their playoff position almost solidified at this point. With no roster limits after the trade deadline, Babcock is calling up Andreas Johnsson, whose probably the best player on the first-place Marlies this year. Might as well play around with some different combinations and give the young guys an opportunity to prove they deserve a spot on the roster for the playoffs. Would love to see one of them step up and become a game-changer like Kapanen did at the end of last season and in the series against Washington.

And Go Oilers Go Canucks! It must hurt the greaser and Canucklehead fans to cheer their teams on knowing wins tonight could help the Flames make the playoffs!

Anybody know the team record for most games without a goal(NHL). Canucks are at 3.

If they get everyone back from injury for the playoffs the team will be unstoppable by everyone except Nashville. Against Nashville, they would be a slight underdog because of the home-ice disadvantage. But it would be the series of the playoffs. The teams are both amazing. For the Jets, Laine and Hellebuyck are having spectacular seasons and it is not a big step down from there to Ehlers, Connor (2d in rookie goals I believe), Wheeler (already 60 assists), Stastny, Perreault and Scheifele. Not to mention Morrissey, the renewed Big Buff and Trouba.

He's just bitter. If he had his way, Winnipeg would not have an NHL team at all!

Another win for the Jets. Laine also ties OVI with 43 goals each.

He answered a hypothetical question about where the league wants teams located in order to generate more of a fanbase and grow the game, you guys got all butthurt by his answer. He never said he wished the Jets were gone or that they never came back.

Yeah, there were a few Albertans who claimed it would never happen and then were irritated when it did.

Sadly the Jets were kind of an afterthought for a while, but it's good to see the haters having a reason to come out of the woodwork again

Bullshit, complete bullshit. If all us Albertans were so pissed you got a team, then lets see some posts that prove it. Once again you are peddling this victim image that just isn't true.

The MelnykOut signs are up in Ottawa. Over $10,000 raised from fans to put them up.

An owner like Melnyk is far more detrimental to the league and it's image than any of this bs about Winnipeg "deserving" a team or not.

We should start a similar campaign against the greedy plutocrat owners here lol. Murray Edwards wants my tax dollars so him and the rest of the ownership group can make $100 million (roughly the increase in value to the Flames if they get a new arena), but he moved his permanent address to London to pay less in taxes.
