I'm sure they'll have the old logo as a third jersey or until fans demand it becomes their first.

I'd be surprised if that's not the logo, it matches all of the leaked info so far (arrow pointing "true north," navy blue and silver with red, etc.). It's not bad, but I think it would work better as a shoulder patch.

It's based off the roundel of the Canadian Air Force, hence the tie-in to Jets.

I take it you have a problem with Canada and the Air Force?

Any word on when the official announcement will be.
Might be there on opening night and would love to buy the new Jets jersey.

Why not? Calgary has the Canadian flag as their shoulder patch.

I didn't know it was based off the air force. I just thought it was a maple leaf in a circle with a plane on top.

I agree the Jets logo would work much better as a shoulder patch. It'd look very strange on the front of a jersey.

But we'll know for sure in 10 minutes. www.winnipegjets.com will be officially unveiling it at 5PM EST.

Jets logos look amazing. I'm not 100% on the 3rd logo, but what the heck. It's what many teams are going with. The first 2 are outstanding.

Really?

I think they look brutal, for an NHL team at least. Looks like they were made with clip art in Microsoft Word.

How do we know what's the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd logo - why do they have 3 logos? lol

It's good. Better than some goddamned cartoon drawing or something.

However, I always thought there was something classy about having the team name somewhere in the logo, which the Jets sadly have lost.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of huge wordmarks anyway (really, Vancouver?).

There's a fun trick you can do with the 3rd logo that's a bit of an in-joke for Winnipeggers. I'll let someone who's less PC than me spell it out in case it's not obvious.

Cool logos. I bet the old Winnipeg Jets blue jersey will be worn as a 3rd jersey. I'm glad they kept the same colours as before for their new jerseys. I do wonder how it will look on a jersey though/

One of my favourite logos already. Mind you, bit of a wartime plane geek when I was younger.

I'm not hot on the roundel, although I like all the other logos.
The roundel just looks like something that some airbase hockey team would have as a logo.
I'm not anti-military at all, it just seems too close a copy.
