I like the look of Telus Sky. I don't care for cladding.

I did really like the renderings, but they must have changed the cladding?
It changed to dark cladding from white a long time ago. So far I think it's pretty cool. I'm excited to see when it starts to twist.

Just curious what you mean? Did you prefer it in white or you'd prefer another material? I don't know what it is but it certainly doesn't look like cheap spandrel.

I personally don't care for the glass. I'm assuming it still has that blue film on it though.

I don't like the matte charcoal finish of the aluminum spandrel or the white frames that Dleung pointed out. It just looks so flat and boring. I wouldn't say it looks cheap but, it does look very ordinary. This will work for the twisting action but, I'd ditch the white frame and highlight the windows by recessing them into the facade. Some polished black stone wouldn't hurt either.

The windows being slightly recessed could be cool but I like the white frame around the glass. It highlights the pattern and will look awesome I think when the floor plates start to change. I do agree the matte finish is a little blah atm though. I'll wait until completion to see how it all works together.

I agree. I hope it's just the protective covering too.

From my point of view, there is no reason to complain about Telus Sky. So far it looks amazing and looks as if it has progressed past a point, where I am documenting my two under construction projects here in Toronto in height, that were previously closely tracking.

Agree. The rendering looked great but this doesn't look anything like it. This cladding looks bad.

One Bloor - 258 meters.

Still can't believe Great Guilt managed to sell this puny podium for $200 million. But, excited to see the ground level retail stores and connection to the Yorkville PATH. Feels like I've been doing updates on this project for 6 years...oh, wait.

Really loving One Bloor!

Haven't seen that rendering of Ice District before, but it puts into perspective just how huge the change to the skyline will be. Manulife looks so insignificant in the background.

The cladding looks fantastic and true to the renders. I don't get what everybody is complaining about.

Today's Update (February 11th)

Took myself my Pinkertonian route, took a quick shot of One Bloor from Spadina (north of Dupont but South of Casa Lome, next to the Toronto Archives Building)

Cladding on Tel us looks fine!

We got a snowstorm last night. Gives the street more of a winter look.

Ten York - 224 meters
