That's bizarre... I hope there isn't much time between the two towers as to avoid a "Maritime Centre" situation.

Crane base is going in on Friday. Not sure when the entire crane is going up. LEAD will be running it.

Saw a facebook post with a picture of a crane up on this site and them saying "the first crane is up"... So i am guessing we will see more than one crane for this site...

Here is the post. It's almost twice as long as it is tall, which looks really weird.

They'll work it like Icon Bay, have 2 cranes to complete the podium then switch to one for the tower.

By lunch time today they had the boom off the smaller crane to remove a section, must have been a conflict with the mast of the eventual second crane.

The crane is up, it's the new flat top Potain that was sitting in Lead's yard. Looks like they painted the mast yellow, I suspect some of its pieces were used on the Nova Centre crane.

Not bizarre. They are building the podium and apartment tower now. Then the condo tower will follow. The idea is that the by the time the podium and apartment tower are done, the condos should be sold through enough to start construction. Pre-construction condos typically don't break ground until about 50% of the units are sold.

If that's the case then it's actually too fresh and they'll need to tone it down a bit.
