I completely forgot to post these, from a late August walk around the Shipyard in Hunters Point, so before they get too stale...

at the east end of the hill is a pleasant park with a view to the iconic crane of the neighborhood
the bayfront hasn't been turned over to the developer yet, I don't think
looking back at the development from the overlook. you can't tell very well, but there is a playground tucked in there that was getting active use when I was by. people I encountered out and about were all more friendly than I am used to in other parts of the City, it was almost weird
art, some whimsical, was scattered about
assuming this is part of the ongoing clean-up of the area
