This isn't official?
I felt the last few contests have done pretty well from an entry and voting standpoint. Paper didn't get many views in the entry week, but we still got 8 entries on a bit more difficult subject.
Stickying the current thread isn't going to do much as the current photo contest doesn't drop to lower than about the tenth thread in General Photography very often and I think one of the regulars piping in with questions and comments on the current round does more for exposure than stickying the thread. Despite the quality of the 'Random Photos' thread and the quality of the entries in the photo contests, General Photography isn't the most heavily traveled area of the forums here (wow, there's some understatement), and the contests don't really fit anywhere else. dvstampa's idea of linking outside of skyscraperpage makes sense to generate more interest. I've added the current contest link to my signature to get the GP area a bit more exposure inside of skyscraperpage, but I'm only one forumer and I don't participate regularly in a couple of key forum areas (construction and most of the US section). And does anyone read anything in anyone's signature?
