Good catch. It's cool our tallest are all clustered together but I wish one of them stood out a little more height wise. I'm curious to see how Telus sky will appear when approaching DT on Memorial from Deerfoot. Will it form a perfect table top with Brookfield and Suncor?

I like the idea of Telus with the tower seeming like it's rotating and the "boxes" coming out like that but I don't like that the top of the tower is so thin. To me it's distracting... I would've like they kept the same size floorplate (or just slightly smaller).

So a twisting tower instead of a tapering one?

Love Brookfield but that reflection of the second ugliest set of towers in Canada - Bow Valley Square makes me want to puke -so brutal. Between that and Sunlife Plaza which holds first place honors - horrible!

Bow Valley Square isn't that bad, it adds a texture to our urban fabric and I love corner glass.

I don't mind Bow Valley Square at all. Its just filler at this point but is a nice dense block in the middle of the CBD.

Weird, it's just Bow Valley Square but, okay? Bow Valley Square is a benign complex. Maybe you aren't a fan of modernism, international style. There's much worst of that out there. There's also a shitload in all styles and in every city worst than Bow Valley Square.

One thing... it would be cooler as a "3 tower" residential complex. (short tower is too short to care)

I agree. Since the renos it’s really grown on me. It adds texture to all the blue glass. Sunlife Plaza I could do without though.

There is nothing about Bow Valley Square that should trigger that kind of reaction. It's obviously a product of its era, but it's a fine looking complex. I know the landlords could eventually reclad it to something more modern, but I think a skyline looks better with different eras reflected.

^Jeez, I agree. It's a fine example of modernism. Please leave it as is. There's enough glass around.

I appreciate Bow Valley Square a lot more now. It compliments all of the new glass around it.

Yes, Sunlife Plaza is definitely worse. You should post some pics of Sunlife Plaza in the ugly thread...

Sun Life isn't even that bad, it's not a nice looking development, but I don't think it's any worse than any other smaller 70' - 80's complex in Calgary. At worst, Sun Life is like the Telus tower beside it, just boring and not really worth noting. Calgary (and every other city) has far uglier towers than these.

My vote for the ugliest tower in Downtown Calgary https://www.google.ca/maps/@51.04456...2!8i6656?hl=en

I actually like those buildigns / styles... They're clean and very representative of an area - the only problem is that they often end up poorly maintained as the office space becomes less desirable.

In the streetview above I think the sandcrawler looking building is the ugliest, although I'm not sure what's up with the green accents on the older tower.
