I hear AIMCO has put a pause on any new spec rental development, and the plan was always just to complete the utilities work, so as of now, there are no plans for this to move forward.

This site is so depressing. It is now a barren wasteland of concrete and rocks. I can't believe the city is allowing it to look like this. This is the first impression many get when entering downtown from the West.

The city can't really dictate the appearance of a construction site, that would be a bit heavy handed...
There hasn't been any activity for months and months. According to the City's "My Property" map, the building permit application is on hold, meaning it is waiting for the applicant to make some revisions and resubmit for approval. The application was made on October 26, 2015, so a long time ago. Doesn't appear to be in any sort of rush. Can one of the people more knowledgeable on this topic provide input? Is there a timeline before this expires? Or can they leave it on hold dragging out like this essentially forever?
AIMCo is is the money. I hear they have a moratorium on new rental until vacancy rates improve. This one could be a while, unless Cidex finds new investors.
I noticed that hoarding going up today.
My heart jumps a little now every time I enter downtown on 9th and see this project proceeding. Such a pleasant surprise.
