...and MAC Cosmetics is gone. Not surprising - they were announced at the same time as Sage (which has been open for a while), yet no progress to date on MAC.

Any pics of the progress of H&M? I know we discussed before, but even the updated floor plans on the property management site still show no second floor access. Maybe they just want the main entrances on the first floor to help with loss prevention?

OneREIT shut down. They also sold the Southland.

Just putting it hear as it seems to be everywhere else -- Sears Canada is officially requested approval for liquidation of all stores and expects to be fully closed by the end of January 2018.

The Regina store in Cornwall was in the first round of cuts. They have officially closed now and the pedway to the Casino is closed for now. I assume the Home Store on Quance will go to liquidation as soon as the court approves it.

The casino can’t be happy about that. What’s the status of the Sears parkade?

Is the pedway actually closed? There is an outside entrance where you don't actually have to go through the old Sears space + there is another pedway to the Delta there?

Yeah - that's odd. Unless Cornwall is renovating that area connecting the Delta/Casino pedways it in some way, why would they close it? Especially with winter coming. Shouldn't be Sears' decision... but maybe it is, until their lease is formally terminated (they're still selling fixtures in the space... so they're not completely out yet).

EDIT: I checked this morning. The pedway's open as usual. There's a sign noting that you can't access the Cornwall Centre for the time being... but there's nothing preventing access between the Delta & the Casino (and down to Hamilton Street).

It must have only been closed a couple of days because the pedway was closed. Good to hear it is open again.

Nothing much to see from the outside. Most of the work is internal, and views are largely hoarded off.

Pedway to RBC/Alvin Hamilton should be open very soon - they've been putting finishing exterior touches on for the past week. The hallway connection in Cornwall may be the bottleneck.

I was in the Cornwall the other day and was able to take a peak behind the hoarding at H & M. The hallway on the main floor north of the store look pretty close to complete. The escalator is all in place, which I'm guessing they craned in when the roof was off. The concrete work at the front doors to the Cornwall appears complete, and they have installed some new LED lightning. I'm guessing the new pedway is also done, just the entrance back into the mall is holding it up.

You can see into the upper floor at night. They have started some finishing, but it looks like several more weeks work. then you need to stock the place which I assume is a few more weeks. I am pretty sure they will be open for December though. They do not seem to be advertising for workers though.

I thought they weren't projected to open until sometime in 2018??

My understanding is that this contract is for the mall work, creating the space and is supposed to be complete Oct 31. The tenant will take possession once that is complete, then do their tenant fit ups.
