Very nice. Not too often we see the view from the Reunion Tower.

My favorite:

Great photos, some of them are incredibly detailed and sharp.

This sky is amazing:

Great pics! Love the Dallas skyline. Good shot also of the new Cowboys/Arlington stadium.

How do you like the D90? I currently have a D40, and the whole shutter mechanism went out. I bought an extended warranty, so no cost for repairs. However, I'm thinking of selling and upgrading. Currently considering either the D90 or D5000 (D90 being a step up). Does anyone have opinions regarding either model? Would it be worth investing in a higher model?

Also, for anyone who has/had a D40, have you experienced major focusing issues? I have, and got locked out of numerous shots. 11-point autofocus should help.

Thanks in advance.

i love the D90, although there's a few small things i miss from the D70s - i take a photo, then spin the dial to change shutter speed/aperture, and it instead scrolls through the display, so i have to hit focus again before changing it...i'm sure there's a way to reprogram this, i just haven't figured it out yet.

otherwise it's great; it does a great job getting high constrasty photos without a lot of editing afterward, which is what a DSLR should do.

i was originally going to get a D3 or D700, then D300, then this thread pointed me towards the D90.

i think i read a review or two which said the D5000 isn't better than the D90, which is why i went for the D90 after playing with it one night at best buy.

doesn't the D40 require manual focus on some types of lenses? i think i've read that somewhere (or maybe it's D40x).
