Sounds like this project maybe going through a design change. It's now going to be 35 floors instead of 22. Stay tuned.

Yup. I haven't seen a new rendering, apparently the new design is 35 floors.

Two more south Beltline towers starting basically at the same time. Royal View and Smith! Things are getting nice and crowded in the area.

If the Mount Royal Village tower gets going, that part of the Beltline will see some major growth.

I agree more growth would be welcome along the 14th street corridor, not to mention a few empty lots and decrepit housing. Can't wait for the new rendering!

Me too. I'm really wondering what this one looks like...or how much of a difference there is from the initial rendering.

It did indeed. There were rumors that they were going ahead with it, so not a total surprise, but still a surprise for the most part.

So is it still going to be the 22 storey version as per the rendering? Or the 35 storey version that we havent seen yet?

That I don't know. I haven't heard about the 35 floor version.... Mersar would probably know.

Mersar mentioned in the Calgary construction thread that this one is still 22 floors.
