Thanksgiving Week in NYC Through Low Quality Lenses
About a month ago last year() I went on a trip to New York with my business administration class for Thanksgiving Week. It was a pretty jam-packed week. I was able to really discover certain parts of Manhattan but barely had enough time for anything else. Anyways, I can't explain well for my life, so here are some photos and videos to chronologically describe this week.
And ps: sorry that the photos are too small and low quality. I had to struggle with a crappy Samsung Galaxy.

Monday
Around Rockefeller Center (To watch the Today Show)
Subway in Columbus Circle (We stayed at an YMCA near Central Park
Midtown East and United Nations Complex (Had a tour here)
Grand Central Station (Went here for lunch. Forgot to take pics of the food court in the bottom. I also didn't know there was an Apple Store in one of the platforms.)

Trinity Church
World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial (Was beautiful and inspiring)
Night Views From The Top of The Rock (Not Very good but better than nothing)

Christie's (Went there to see an art auction in action. This time, it was Latin American artwork)
Near Park Avenue/ Upper East Side (The house in one of these pictures is Carnegie's )
5th Avenue (Went through some shops to look around and see the decorations and stuff I can't afford)
New York Public Library and Empire State Building
Washington Arch Park (Ventured down here to at the nearest McDonald's for some reason. On the way, I saw the Michael Brown verdict protesters marching up Broadway. I believe they started at the park)
Inside Radio City Auditorium (Meaningless but I thought it was interesting. Watched the Christmas Spectacular since tickets came with the overall price of this trip)
Times Square in light of Michael Brown Verdict( The protesters made it here. Was my first protest I've experienced in real life. Although I was not aware of it, it would be the first of the many protests that have occurred in the city to shine light on police brutality)
Wednesday
Federal Reserve Building (Had a tour here and saw the vault at the basement. I then walked around Lower Manhattan and got a good feel of the urban canyons which I sadly forgot to take more pictures of.)
St. Paul's Chapel(Went there for a performance in German)
Federal Hall(Went inside this time to learn more about George Washington)
Museum of Finance(Learned a lot about Alexander Hamilton, finance, and had a good talk with the gift shop owner here)

Was suppose to wake up early at 6 to catch a good seat for the parade. Ended up getting out of bed at 9 something. and saw a big crowd in front of the YMCA(The parade passed by at the adjacent avenue). We already had a good view but I decided to go southbound to see the beginning pass by 34th Street.

Herald Square(Took the subway and pushed through the middle of a crowd to get some glances of the parade.

Chinatown (We went there after the parade for breakfast and came back later to go to Little Italy for a Thanksgiving meal)
Brooklyn Bridge and Skyline (Right after the Thanksgiving dinner. Was the highlight of the week along with going to Liberty State Park.
Friday
Was a free day for us to anywhere, so my roommate and I went to Chinatown again for breakfast and also went to New Jersey
Civic Center/ WTC again (to take the PATH Train to Jersey City)
Jersey City(was a ghost town, probably because of Black Friday)
Liberty State Park (Took longer to get there than I thought They need to put a pedestrian bridge there one day).
Back to Lower Manhattan(Took a water taxi for the first time)
Went up to Upper Manhattan for the first time.
Went to the Bronx....
And got on the Staten Island Ferry after opening the Sabbath with Congregation Emanu-el (Largest Reformed Jewish temple in the US). Sorry for the low quality
Saturday, I went to church, went up town to see St. John the Divine and Columbia University. The group and I left that afternoon to go back to campus and face finals. All in all, it was amazing.

I missed this thread the first time around. I was actually looking back through some photos of mine from my first trip to NYC from a couple of years ago. I need to get back soon.

No it was great, after all, it is still a phone picture, nevertheless I liked it, it was pretty good since you covered an amount of places. But I would suggest you change the title if you can though, the "bad quality" part really drives people away, you can just mention it later when they click in and read the description.
So how was your little trip? How does the city feel?
Judging from the pictures its not really as dirty as what is often advertised around the internet... But well, what do you think?
