Nope, go ahead.

And all the trolleys were destroyed? That sucks, I was wondering why they werent running. I remember riding them as a little kid and they were awesome.

Nice pictures! You captured a lot of grit in the beginning. The Downtown Area seems pretty nice.

Ive been reading that they are in the process of restoring the trolley lines, but all 4 of their trolleys were destroyed in the Hurricane basically so they need to buy new ones and obviously since Republicans are cutting all funding to anything that benefits society it will probably be a long time until they can repair the ones that were badly damaged or buy new ones. But, at least they havent just given up on them.

But wow... Galveston tells the story of a very different Texas. One that cared about people and quality of life over fundy Christian kookery. The fact that these people cared so much that they raised the entire city by 17 feet and built the seawall. Painstaking hard work, but they did it. Today in this state, you have to beg and plead just to get a sidewalk fixed.
