Awesome pics! I'm traveling to Boston for the first time this weekend. Any tips on good bars and such?

Thanks! I'm not a local and basically just stumbled onto the first bar when I was visiting, I think you'd be better off just googling or asking a local on these forums.

Too new, rather ugly and not dense enough for my tastes.

(just kidding-- this thread is amazing!)

Great bunch of bars near harvard/Brattle square were you can argue with Ivy League crass... near JFK

I would also recommend near TD Bank north, good collection there around Friend St.

Just south of Faneuil Hall (not in as it is tourist hell) there are a collection of Irish bars as you head south towards the financial district on Broad St. Black Rose is kinda cool as are 2 another ones just north and south of the Hilton.

Boylston has a few decent places as well.

Perhaps a Sam Adams tour?

By the way, some of you may have already observed these images on the infamous sister forum, which is where I hail from.

At times, when I'm in a Victorian-mood, this is precisely the ultimate perfection of a residential ideal that I envision.

As I was staring George in the face, I found myself contemplating the pompous nature of the Philadelphia's monument to this President and came to conclusion that this, more modest piece is somehow more dignified.

Thanks. Those are beautiful views indeed. Perhaps even more so once viewed in person.
