The Face of New York //winter, forest hills, no pants

This wintry mix includes a lot of people shots, some coverage of the 9th annual "No Pants Subway Ride," and a tour of Forest Hills. If you enjoy them, be sure to check out my other sets!

Man, how much pizza did you eat? Incredible thread, though I do find NYC to be too homogeneous for my taste.

I got trashed at that United Artists in Forest Hills once...

You have a brilliant eye and are also the best people/person photographer on this forum. Fantastic shots.

incredible photos... just incredible! I've been getting pizza from AJs on Austin St. in FH ever since I was a little kid - every time I go to NY, so it's cool to see the place here.

Ditto!

I have to say this has been the most enjoyable set I've seen today on this forum, thanks for sharing.

So I'm assuming Forest Hills is an expensive neighborhood to live in????

PIZZA!!!

The lack of real pizza in California is high up on my list of reasons why I want to move back east.

Fantastic!

Question - How do you take photos of people? I'm serious. I always get scared that people will get mad at me.

New Yorkers have a timeless quality about them... a certain je ne sais quoi (except for the de-pantsed hipsters... who are merely annoying)

Some people do, but most don't care/notice. It's also easier in New York since everyone assumes people with cameras are stupid tourists, probably taking pictures of something behind them.

God I miss New York so much. But Chicago pizza is better. And whoever said California Pizza Kitchen I hope you were joking.

Forest Hills Gardens (where most of those shots were taken) is reasonably expensive, but the rest of Forest Hills north of Queens Boulevard is a moderately-priced working and middle class area.

Beautiful shots - look forward to the next thread.

Damn. Another brilliant thread. One of the few reasons I venture over here--the hope of seeing a Sabotai picture thread.
