New Drawing Competition?

I was thinking of starting a new drawing competition with the Capital Market Authority Headquarters in Riyadh that is 385 m.

That's a tricky one, which could discourage some people from submitting entries. But I do agree that we should have another competition.

I think if there is another drawing competition it should be a very simple building, a box would be best. That way more illustrators are likely to submit an entry.

i at other side think this is a good one, because the best balance between complexity not that strong but some easy challenge to rescue interests to do it. I hope this is right to have more possibilities results this time. For me is ok, it was to be done one from me to the SA guy, but sincerely i got lazy, sorry. Maybe I do to the competition instead, even when i am certain i won't win, cause the owner does not like my style of doing. Hope for the best to the other who wants a try. This is time i won't give a previous tendency option for a drawer.

Don't think that you're not going to win, look at the bright side, your drawings are improving, so you might win this competition (if it happens).

I'm more than 99% sure i wouldn't win. But thanks appreciating my more or less drawings. I am proud someone see something positive on them. On other side i am since long not drawing anymore. However I consider a lot doing this one. And I prefer other win the prize !!!!!!!!

The tower isn't that tricky since I'm working on a 1:4 scale new One World Trade Center, which is a more complex version of this.

I did a building with angles and lines a couple months ago. It was a horrible experience and I am not repeating it right now.

I was just splitting off some fantasy Freedom Tower drawings into their own building entry (http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?buildingID=90629) and realised that we could have a fantasy design competition. Let the illustrator decide what he wants to draw, and how tall to make it! Anybody could enter, and we then have a vote on who's design is coolest.

What are you complaining about now? Your drawing would go on a voting system where all forumers can vote. Dylan and all diagram editors / committee members certainly don't play "favourites" with voting.

As if we have time and care to go out of our way just to vote against you.

Questions

When should we start? When should it end? Will there be a prize?

Prize can be the winner's choice of a SkyscraperPage poster.

We need to decide on a city for the building to be in. We could create a fantasy city in Antartica?

Maybe call the fantasy city: Skyscraper City, United Skyscrapers of Fantasy (USF), it's simple and people would know it's fake.
