Yes I believe so. Van Horne had New Brunswick connections too. He had a huge estate on Minister's Island near St. Andrews by-the-sea on Passamaquoddy Bay. You can drive to it via a sand bar, but only at low tide, and is now a latter day tourist attraction. The mansion itself unfortunately is now in some disrepair.

That's really cool.

I'd love to see the Skyway between Hamilton and Burlington lit up like that (though it works best on the older steel structures, so the Niagara bound bridge would limit the view of the Toronto bound bridge somewhat from the west). The McQuesten High Level Bridge in Hamilton would be a great candidate too.

^Correct. It's the "hump" of the Confederation Bridge. This was taken from near Pugwash, NS roughly 40km away. The photo was taken with 56X zoom however the hump can be seen most clear afternoons with the bare eye.

I love it when you notice the curvature of the earth in photos like this. You get it with those shots of the Toronto skyline across Lake Ontario too.

Under right viewing conditions, you can briefly see the Confederation Bridge from the top of the Cobequid Pass on the TCH in northern NS. This is a distance of 75 km.

The Skyway Bridge in Hamilton is closed and likely closed for days. A huge traffic accident occurred.

Glad I don't have to take that route anymore. It looks like there was a work platform he hit. What ever that is going to be a hefty bill and fine.

It's not just a work platform that they hit. Apparently they were driving with the dump box up and actually hit the structural girders of the bridge, in addition to the work scaffolding. That's why they're concerned about the structural integrity. One of the girders was ripped right off the bridge and totaled a different truck in addition.
