And while I'm at it... here's "Ørestaden"

Ørestaden is Copenhagen's new CBD - it will feature several highrises when done as well as 1000s of new homes and offices..
It currently most famous for it record size mall "Fields" and the Ferring building.. but as the pics shows more and more is poping up in the area..

( note this Google Earth pic is way outdated )

That's all for this time mates...

What a lovely day today... I went on a 4 hour walk with a mate and took a ton of pics...

The first part will be Jagtvej in the Nørrebro district.. it's kind of a ring road connecting several of the districts together.. in the end we'll go trough Fælledparken ( a large park ) and end by taking a look at the Danish National Stadium "Parken"

Here we go...

More to come in the next days - so stay tuned!

Here comes part 3

This time we take a trip down Østerbrogade - the main street in the distric of Østerbro..
I really like the area, it's crassy yet down to earth - a very nice place for a stoll..

Voila...

gosh, what a tour - so many magnificient old buildings and so much great new design - I've never been to Copenhagen and I can see I've missed out. What a charming, civilised city.

Thumbs up wow

European cities are designed to such superior specifications compared to auto-centric, sprawling, (and frequently near culturally-void) American counterparts...

Here we go again... this will be the last of the pics from August 6...

This time we'll take a stroll down Nørrebrogade - the mainstreet of the district of Nørrebro

Nørrebro is a very colourful area - with many immigrants and alternative cultures.. It's also where the now torn down youth house was located and where the Copenhagen riots took place this winter..

Here we go...

That's all folks!

Great tour! You should turn this into a book.

Its an endless stretch of 5 story buildings. Looks beautiful, especially the dock area. Keep the tour coming.

Wow!!!!! This thread just keeps on going! Nice work my man!! This is the best thread i've seen in while.

What a beautiful city. Now I see why everyone rants and raves about Copenhagen so much. It lives up to the hype.

New pics comming trough...

Today was a bit windy and pretty cloudy, but F that I still forced my way out and took a walk in the area known as Christianshavn located in the Northern part of the island of Amager

The area is pretty special - it's pretty much a stonetrow from the inner city but still remains oldschood residential - with the old sailors hanging out drinking beer, the houseboats and the old crooked buildings..

Here we go...

Okay it's not exactly summer anymore - but that doesn't stop me from taking pictures...

So here's some from yesterday - Copenhagen by Night

We start out at Kalvebod brygge in Copenhagen Habour and move along the waterfront to the Fisketorver shopping mall.. after a brief visit there we go to the City Hall square and trough the pedestrian street Støget down to Nyhavn..

Here we go..

Yule time is comming..
