^Oh SNAP!

It appears this rendering was quickly put together, but is it imagined from the 39th Fl setback? 155 N Wacker is 45 floors. Since the floor count to height ratio is all out of whack for 110, it would appear in line with the 39th floor setback. Gives you an idea of how much 800 feet will stick out at this location.

Goettsch-Designed Office Tower Approved by Chicago Plan Commission
Quote:
The Chicago Plan Commission has unanimously approved a proposal for a 51-storey office tower at 110 North Wacker Drive. Designed by Goettsch Partners for The Howard Hughes Corporation and Riverside Investment & Development, 110 North Wacker carries over the same development, design, and leasing team that collaborated on the recently completed 150 North Riverside project, and promises a similarly contemporary design replete with glass curtain wall and special amenity spaces.

Might as well post all the renderings we've not seen before.

Nah... I think this is the last setback. It pretty much lines up with 300 N. LaSalle in the distance, and that's 785'.

I take it back, you're correct in stating it's the 39th floor setback.

The Essex was a different case, that was landmarks doing.

As of this moment, I'm not sure, but I will say I mentioned this the other evening to Alderman Reilly. I also brought the issue up at plan commission yesterday, so we’ll see what happens.

That was real quick on the website, they're not playing.

I like how their walking times are about half of what they actually are - I work in 10 S Riverside Plaza, so I know what the walk times are and you'd have to either speedwalk at about 7mph to hit those times.

Had to look for myself to see if you were right on them being ridiculous, and yeah you are right hahahah, "1 minute to Ogilvie transportation", maybe in a dead sprint

You just take the Spruce Goose commuter shuttle listed under building amenities.

Giving them ALL the benefits of doubt, I measure that it is about a 2000 foot walk from the corner of Washington and Wacker to the Adams street entrance into Union State (Adams and the River). So that is 1000 ft/min, which is 11.4 MPH, or basically a sprint (just over 5 min mile speed).

I think I got the angle right, this should be how the massing will look in the skyline from my Oak Brook vantage point.
