This building started off somewhat plainly and KPF has continued to improve it until now. I'm impressed. Look at that base.

The base of this tower is superb. Love the way it meets the High Line.

Remember, they have a deadline with Coach...

(That crane in the back is for another of Related's towers)

They sure aren't wasting any time, brought in an army of trucks and equipment! Related knows how to get things done in style!

Wow, looks like someone ordered full mobilization and this is just the beginning. Is the building in the back with the crane out of the ground at all yet?

I still find this one the best. So much can be said from photos.

There is a good chance Quinn could be the next mayor, and will have to continue the legacy of a pro-building environment that Bloomberg will leave. She's at least come out in favor of an evolving skyline when she (and the council) shot down the ESB's request for special skyline "protections" during the 15 Penn saga.

I still wonder if it wouldn't have been cheaper and easier to just build a new rail yard somewhere in Jersey or Queens and then just demolish this one and not build the platform. Then the block structure could have been put in and smaller parcels sold off to developers.
