That last shot's great! That yacht is a lot bigger than I thought. I like the added bonus of having the Shangri-la visible (as well as the Ritz and Flatiron).

Walk this Way
The 5½-mile-long seawall promenade that curves around Stanley Park from Coal Harbor to English Bay has been extended in either direction to form more than 13 miles of uninterrupted waterfront walkway.

Horseplay
For more than a century, horses have clip-clopped through thousand-acre Stanley Park, pulling carriages on popular tours.

No Sweat
Legions of walkers, joggers, skaters, and cyclists flow along the 5½-mile seawall path curving around thousand-acre Stanley Park.

Coastal Landscape
Stops along the seawall path offer views of large freighters that anchor between Stanley Park and the mountainous North Shore.

Handcrafted
First Nations carvers continue to create masterpieces reminiscent of their totem poles near the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

About Face
Striking totem poles stand near the Capilano Suspension Bridge, which hangs 230 feet above its namesake river.

Another Vancouver pano

This time from North Vancouver... I took this the other day -- it was such a beautiful afternoon, I snapped some pics from a small park on the waterfront, tried to stitch them together.

From this angle, you can see some of the Port of Vancouver and other shipping activity. The cruise shps I believe had already left for the day.

You can also see the skeleton of the convention centre expansion from here. The Shangri-la is poking out at a nice spot on the skyline.

The 2 pics are the same pano, one is just a zoom-in of the other:

Photogenically Vancouver puts any Canadian city to absolute shame. Probably the best in North America.

those are beautiful pictures. im really hoping shangri-la makes a significant enough impact as im hoping for. theres only abt 15 or so floors left, so hopefully that'll be enough to stand out from the surrounding 450 footers.

Not as nice of the above pics, but here are a couple taken earlier in the week on the way back from Paris. They show the clusters of density outside the core.

Metrotown and Brentwood mall areas

Collingwood area

I think it's called Sunset Beach, in the West End.

BTW, hello everyone. Long time lurker of SSP... Started browsing this forum long time ago when I was living in NY and longing to live in Vancouver (at least part time). I guess my dream came true.
