Help with converting PNG images to GIFs

Hello, I am just starting out with drawing buildings here, and I need some help before I can provide a drawing. I use MS Paint for my 1:1 drawings and whenever I save a file as a GIF, the colors become awful and pixelated. When I save it as a PNG, it looks fine. I know that GIFs can only be saved with a limited selection of colors, but I also notice that all of your drawings seem to have a full selection despite being supposedly submitted as GIFs.
If anyone on this forum has a suggestion or tip for smoother conversion, I would appreciate the help.

you can also try paint.net. it is quite a lot easier for pixel art and it's really easy to convert bmp, png and gif there.
