Yonge & Bloor pic by dt_toronto_geek at UT, of Casa (left) will be 47 storeys, with about 15more to go, and its sister building, Bloor Street Neighbourhood (right), topped out at 32 storeys..

I can't believe that thing has 15 more floors to go......it's already stunningly beautiful. - It's like a crystal in a sea of concrete...and you know, I didn't really have high expectations for this condo.


I think it's turning out better than Murano......

Work continues at 25 York Street for the new office tower in Toronto, Ont. Menkes Developments Inc. began the 30-storey tower with a five-level podium in September 2006 and completion has been scheduled for September 2009. The project will also include three levels of underground parking. The 25 York Street office tower was designed by Adamson Associates Architects/Sweeny Sterling Finlayson & Co. Architects Inc. Consultant are: Stephenson Engineering Ltd. (structural); The Mitchell Partnership (mechanical); Mulvey & Banani International Inc. (electrical); and MBTW Landscape Architects. Subtrades include: Premform Ltd. (formwork); Harris Omer (rebar supply); Geo. A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (mechanical); Plan Electric; Camino (raised access floor); Kone Elevators; and Antamex (curtainwall). Allow me to interupt all the Toronto pictures with an update shot from arriVa 42 here in Calgary. Picture taken on March 2nd by me:



They appear to have focused in the last month and a bit on getting the entire underground parking up to grade. From that point I believe we'll start to see the entire podium for both remaining towers get built up, with arriVa 42 rising vertically after that.
