My favorite part about this building is the view you get coming down West 6th Street. It really creates a walled-in feeling imo.

Cranes have been jumped and the window frames are being installed, with glass seemingly not far behind. I know it's a cliche to want projects taller but this building would have been awesome with like 20 floors of residential above the 15 office/parking levels.

Why don't you want to see a taller building? The western edges of downtown Austin is short and stumpy.

I know! Strange to hear me say that to me too...but on the far western edge of town especially from that angle in that area, and even on all the far edges, stair stepping the building height to a taller center just looks more aesthetically pleasing to me. Especially from a distance. I guess the exception would be the natural and unnatural walls such as I35 and LadyBird Lake.

Arrow

Is it just me or does the glass color and design look exactly like what's on the Spring Tower?

You could say that about a number of buildings in Austin though. Blue glass and off white accents...

Austin needs more blue glass. Or bluegrass....yeah, let's go with that one.

I forgot about the different angles on the windows...well, not the windows themselves, but the frame of the building around the windows. In any case, it's better than flat and plain. Definitely a neat element that makes you look twice.

I agree that its better than flat and plain, but its a bit subtle. It could have been a bit more...angular to give it a more wavy appearance and add a more obvious uniqueness to an otherwise boxy shape. That being said, I don't mind how this is turning out... in this part of town. It would also have fit in at the Domain.
