Behind the Scenes: UEB going high for 569 multifamily units

Here's a story and slideshow about UEB's projects downtown. It's mostly about the Link but also touches on the Steward and other projects they've built. Check out the slideshow. It has some good pictures.

Quote:
Just a few blocks apart in downtown Phoenix, the Stewart and the Link will bring 569 multifamily units to the nearby Roosevelt Row Arts District within the next two years. The projects are being built by UEB, which recently completed Portland on the Park and Proxy333, also a stone’s throw from these sites.

The Scottsdale-based general contractor and its subcontractors are using post-tension concrete decks to pour the structures' 20- and 30-story concrete bases. This method provides a thinner floor section while maintaining a generous ceiling height, which results in an overall lower and more efficient building structure.

I am liking the ceiling heights compared to the height of the garage floor heights. The first living space floor is almost framed and is much higher than the garage. Anyone know the living space specs?

Also looks like the facade is going up on the west side starting at floor 9.

I thought I saw a piece of façade on the webcam. Thanks for confirming that.

Love it. Link is going to look taller than it actually is. San Diego pulls this off really well with some of their newer towers. I swear they look like they are in the 550' to 600' range when they're actually more like 450'. Phoenix could use more of these thinner profile towers.

It looks like Link is going up roughly 2 levels per week. This is going up quick! At this rate, it will top out before the Stewart

When will the crane jump?????????? and how many more segments? Will they jump it to final height or only to a mid level height and jump it again later?

I was told by the construction workers about a month ago it was going to jump after the 10th floor which too me seemed a little too soon, but I went with it and now it is well beyond the 10th floor. At this point I'm going to guess when they complete the 20th floor which shouldn't be too long. They are roughly completing 2 levels every 8 days and rebar is currently up to the 14th level for the elevator core and to the 13th level for the remainder.

Was checking out Shepley Bulfinch's website and found they have a couple of fly-around videos of the Link. They are low quality, but good enough to give a pretty good idea of what the tower will look like from other angles.

Here's the "Link" to their page: https://shepleybulfinch.com/projects...ures-the-link/

The first couple images were the initial renderings when first proposed.

So it looks like the Link webcam got knocked out by the monsoon yesterday. Hopefully, it's repairable and back up soon.
