I agree with you that retail would be nice to have in the area but I doubt the current population can support it.

What we do have within a couple of blocks is a SAQ depot, corner store, MacDonald's and St Hubert restaurant.

After that, you need to walk down Laurier st. to downtown Gatineau to access restaurants and bars or even better walk across the bridge to the market area.
Yes, if you look at the area east of Allumettières it is too small for a full-sized grocery store. When there is one as I said it will be closer to Portage which is more central to the Vieux-Hull district. There may be a second one eventually as well. They have mentioned near the corner of Wellington and Montcalm as ground floor retail in another condo project being built by Heafey, but my sense is if there is a second one it will go near the new Guertin arena on Allumettières.

The VIU is having an open house this coming Saturday and Sunday.

Come down and see the view from the 20th floor amenities.

Ok, there's no longer any questions about it. You must work for them.
Will you be hosting the open house?

One of the best looking buildings in the NCR, in my opinion.

The MacDonald Cartier bridge really needs a paint job..the rust is just awful..

They should cover the white paint with a rusty colour if they do not want to redo in the near future.
