I'd also like to point out the memorial to the 1991 fire at One Meridian Plaza, located in front of the Ritz Carlton Residences. All it is is three bronze fire helmets on a small stand with some nice words written beneath them. That's how a good memorial to a so-called "minor" tragedy should be. It's not taking up space, of course, because that's where the aforementioned Ritz-Carlton is and where the W will be, but it pays due respect to those three firefighters.

very good point, and example of a good, positive way to publically remember a loss that effected the whole City

I'm pretty sure the daughter wasn't at all "estranged" from her mother, the City Treasurer.

I heard from people involved with this project that it is due to break ground in about six months, and be completed in two years. 40 stories, mixed condos and offices. Renders should be available soon.

Awesome! That's very exciting. Re: the memorial, I quite like it and the message honestly. I think it will be a great pocket park for the workers in this building. I work near a small park and take most my lunch breaks there during nice weather

Brandywine is still the developer? This is awesome if true, their attention has been laser focused on Schuylkill Yards the past few years (and rightfully so), that I was fearing this lot might stay undeveloped until the next cycle.

2222 Market (the Morgan Lewis building) will be starting in early 2020. Lots of positive energy on West Market.

Wow. Completion in 2 years with ground-breaking starting in 6 months seems overly ambitious. Nonetheless, timeline aside, this is a ton of new construction, luxury condos hitting the market in the next three years. Not to mention the Goldenberg Health Center parcel, though I'm not sure the timeline for that. These may not be Arthaus/Laurel/2100 Hamilton level. But I'm sure they will at least be on par with the Murano. Nice to see West Market filling in! I hope this does happen soon.

This is very exciting and unexpected, if true. To see this kind of development on west Market is thrilling.

Brandywine is the developer. They are on fire with this and the two projects in SY. Plus they are looking to build out in Radnor as another poster mentioned in the Philly suburb thread. Nice!

This is exciting.

Though I'd ask that after this building there be no more blocks on blocks buildings?

Between the SY building, Morgan Lewis Building, and this building, all of a sudden, it seems overdone.

Next concept, please.

Just like I don't need a single additional Cecil Baker residential building constructed in this city for the balance of eternity.

Calling it now: this thing breaks 600'.

If it's 40 stories I find it reaaaally hard to believe that this is only 500', especially considering that a large portion of it is office space.

^ Glad it appears to be the original high-rise plan. Wasn't there a rendering of a much shorter building (maybe even lowrise?) that came along after some time, suggesting that they had totally shifted gears on this project?

I'm quite certain that the original design is not happening.

Can you confirm it's a redesign if you know?
