Smile Freki Presents Chicago

Hi guys... came back from Chicago yesterday and as usual took a "backside load" of pics...

You know the drill, so here goes...

Navy Pier

Any Bundy fans out there?

From Willis ( aka "the tower formerly known as Sears" )

103rd floor..

412m down..

Time to visit "Big John" aka the John Hancock Center

That's all folks...

Hope you had a good time in Chicago! I'll be there tomorrow through the weekend. I'm participating in the AIDS run on Saturday morning.

The loop. If I were to visit Paris I think I would venture beyond the Eiffel Tower. Nice shots.

Perhaps, but you don't know if Freki was in town for business, leisure, etc. or if he had two days or two weeks in town. Sure, a lot of the photos are of areas we've seen on SSP before but it's still through the view of someone who is seeing Chicago from a fresh perspective. If two months from now, Freki posts his 10th Chicago photo thread and *still* hasn't ventured beyond the Loop, *then* it's time to harp on him.

Chicago's skyline has become a place where even 600ft towers disappear into the cityscape. Hard to do.

Amazing.

Right on. I haven't been back to downtown Chicago since 1993 when I worked at the Merc. I see a lot of changes to my home town when I see these spreads. Nice shots Freki.

Very nice set. You hit all the great views of downtown from the east and on the river. Hope you enjoyed yourself(how could you not!!!). For those planning a trip to Chicago, September is the best weather month in my opinion. The highs are in the 70's most of the time and humidity is low on average. We have been mostly sunny for most of the month.
