It's rare to see a render facing away from the North Shore Mountains. Looking good still.

I would assume Telus will be moving all employees out of the Boot when their new downtown HQ is complete. Have they announced that?

Excavation has begun on the site. Not sure if they are just pre-prepping the site further or actually starting on construction.

The ambulance building is still functioning. No idea where it will go and when it will shut down.

They have also put up banners across the signs saying "511 units sold". No idea how many there are in total. I'm guessing around 900, so somewhere between 50%-60%?

As far as I know they only put 2 out of the 3 towers on the market, so if they sold 511 units that's pretty close to sold out.

I believe there are 623 units in tower 1 & 2. So about 80% are sold?
A 8 levels towhouses & garden homes is also in phase 1. Don't know whether that was put out to the market for sale.

The ambulance house is located at the phase 2 site where tower 3 will be built. Unless the developer needs the space for construction work area, it is possible it can stay for a while. Phase 1 is scheduled to be completed by 2016.

Probably less than 80%, since that would make for better marketing instead of just listing the # of units.

Excavation is well under way, and they are down about 3 floors on the south side of the lot where it abuts the existing retail/commercial building at Kingsway and Boundary. The ambulance depot is still rolling along - that part must be part of phase 2. I wonder where it will go?

WRT the boot building, Telus intend to keep the "majority" of the floorspace even after Telus Gardens completes. Apparently they have already signed a sublease for 3 of the surplus floors to an unnamed company.

Not sure if this rendering and the marketing video have ever been posted here. There was also a new render of the 3rd tower on Metro magazine today, but I couldn't find it online. Nothing that special in it, just unseen.

Thanks for posting. That render makes the towers look incredibly close to each other.

The crane was erected yesterday. It was a great erection to watch, and the crane looks very sturdy. I do not have any photos of the actual erection, but can take photos of the pit with accompanying crane tomorrow.

Interestingly, they drove the parts for the unerected crane into the excavation pit in order to build the crane rather than hold them at street level.

Haha, I also cannot help but to think that talking about erecting cranes is dirty business, but that is the correct verb, isn't it?

thanks for the detailed erection description. if there is one thing I love to watch being done first hand by a skilled team of men is a good old classic ERECTION

too bad you didn't get any video. I can dream can't I? pics of the pit and erection would be grand!

should we would expect to see a 2nd erection in the near future? or will they need time to 'build up' to the next one?

I do not expect a second erection any time soon. A second erection would require more stimulation in the sales area in order to begin on phase 2. The current crane reaches quite far, and so there would not be a second erection for some time.
