You're quite welcome. I'm glad that my photos can stir ones imagination. I used to live in Elk Grove for several years. Locke was only about 15 minutes or so from me. Sometimes in the evenings I would go to Al the Wop's, enjoy a drink and then take a walk along the river road and watch the sun go down. It is a dreamy landscape. If you let it, it will fill your senses and shake your soul. I miss it.

Would someone be up for a "gritty" photo thread of Sac (maybe include some of former industrial area's near the rail yards and some of Oak Park and south Sac)?

Btw great pics earlier!

Thanks for posting that, I always forget about that building being built.

Question... how does an 11 story building cost $275 million dollars? That doesn't make any sense.

Innov8 has captured some of the best photos of Sacramento I’ve seen. Maybe he would be willing to repost a prior thread.. Ask him nicely.

Historic brick and terra cotta facades at the Marshall/Hyatt Centric Hotel are
left standing as the interior of the original structure has been removed.

I thought they were going to keep more of the original building, just keeping literally the street-front walls is a little silly.. but better than tearing the whole thing down I guess

Mostly I just read your blog now to keep up. But I live in Midtown so I see what's happening. The 19J Apartments are turning out really nice too.

That’s why I think it’s silly for Sacramento to have a separate forum. It really should just be merged into a Northern California forum with SF, Oakland and San Jose.

Streamed recording

Stopped in Sac after overnight in Tahoe. Excuse the grainy vid, I haven't had time to rip from the SD card.

I have to admit the design of the Sawyer has grown on me. I wasn’t a fan at first but at least it’s unique for Sacramento.
