I forgot about 40 Wall Street (it only had the WTB title for a short time).

Perhaps the diagram is not quite accurate in scale since the Singer Building looks wider than the upper portion of the Woolworth Building. At least the Singer gets a bit wider at the top!

LEGO Display at The Henry Ford Museum

If any of you happen to be in southeast Michigan during the next month or so...

The Michigan LEGO Train Club has once again set up a town and train display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan. The layout includes my Penobscot Block comprising models of several of Detroit's largest historic buildings from the early 20th century. A new addition to the skyline is Chris Leach's model of the 23 story Dime Building (on the right in the photo) which is positioned just like the prototype in relation to the Penobscot block. The display can be seen by museum visitors from November 25th, 2011 to January 2, 2012.

^Very cool! I like how even at the scale you put in a lot of detail.

Thread Title

Does anyone think that this thread's title deserves to be renamed? IMO, I think removing the question mark and capitalizing "LEGO" would look more official or what have you, rather than appearing to be just a slightly random topic as the title suggests. Not a big deal but it has crossed my mind once or twice. Plus this thread is more than a few years old and approaching it's 50th page, implying that it's well-established enough to have a more affirmative title. What do the rest of you think?

Glad you did. So how many days/weeks after 9/11 did you start on this?

I started in early November 2001, finished the towers in December and added the supporting buildings/plaza the following spring. I revised some portions of the model in late 2004 giving it the appearance it has today.

Building Comparison Chart

A diagram of selected Brickville buildings. The first four are the tallest in the city. I've actually wanted to create this chart ever since Spencer posted the one above.
