If the scale of this model is correct, this thing is going to be massive.
It's taller than the Westin in that model, that can't be right--the renderings show it to be about 40 floors.

When do they expect to break ground? Haven't they already started on Hard Rock Hotel? Where would it be located ?

The GWCC hotel will be where the Ga Dome is now, which won't be demolished until November. Hard Rock has started, but not a lot of progress has been made.

Is there a better rendering of 3372 Peachtree than what is on the development map?

I didn't realize it's under construction until I happened by it. Seems like a pretty major project.

For those model pictures posted without context, that's not the GWCC hotel. It's on the wrong side of the gulch. That's a completely different project, a hypothetical tower that would be part of redevelopment of the area.

Exactly.... completely different spot and tower design, which is why crediting sources for this stuff would help. Also, forum rules: "Third-party articles and images must be properly formatted and credited."

If you look at the web address of the image it was uploaded 5/17/2017...73 days ago. Given its strong resemblance to the rendering of the new GWCC hotel, I don't think it is much of a leap to believe they are the same project.

Lots of interesting models on that site. Some seem to be of actual projects (past and future), some for crime reconstruction, and some just-because. The one with the GWCC hotel look-alike is listed under MMPT.

I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere but does anyone know what this project is?

It looks like a pretty big deal. Pricy apartments, too.

Yeah, the photo came from this page: http://www.southernmodel.com/portfolio-item/mmpt/

You can see from several angles that the Georgia Dome is there, where the GWCC hotel will be. The GWCC hotel and Mercedes-Benz Stadium are not in this model at all because it's of the MMPT and probably several years old.

The reference was in the original post I was quoting, I just cut it out like a maroon.

You put a space in the link, Atlanta3000.

Video Link

It's the new "brick" facade being put on the Aaron's building. Normally I hate fake brick but that's pretty neat.

I'm most excited for the Skyline finally expanding West of the city instead of all the buildings being South to North. The Hardrock Cafe should look be a nice addition also.

Whatever that is, it is very old. The adaptive reuse of the stockyards is happening but one of the blocks now has The Brady apartments on it and another is the site of the Toll Brothers proposal.

Speaking of which, does anyone know why the development on Howell Mill road does not get city streetlights? The Local on 14th for example installed streetlights once it was completed but there are none on Howell mill.

Have there been any updates on the redevelopment of the Kodak building on Ponce and Argonne? I haven't been able to find any.
