Another residential skyscraper has topped out construction in Long Island City, the nation’s fastest-growing rental community according to a recent report. Rising 42 floors above the eastern edge of Queens Plaza, 29-26 Northern Boulevard will hold floors of co-living suites and standard rental apartments above.
Conceived by Simon Baron Development and Quadrum Global, the building is designed by the busy office of Stephen B. Jacobs Group who crafted a bifurcated massing that makes the structure appear as if it
were two separate buildings. Each side of the building will have a pitched
roofline and the facade is being patterened with a playful battle between
masonry and glass.
