Therefore, I would suggest you to live in the north because students who are attending the university all live in the north side of Chicago.
The rents in the north side will be a little bit higher though.

No, I have no contacts there anymore but you can contact free apartment rental agency to help you find an apartment that fits your requirements and needs. I asked them to help me find my apartment when living in Chicago. they have a really nice service and I like it a lot. Below is the info.

How nice, I love Chicago. I visited there many times when I attended school in St. Louis. It was like 4-5 hrs drive.

I can still feel the excitement of my first time driving to Chicago. Seeing Sears Tower, Jon Hancock and other part of skyline gradually stand out from the cloud is one of the most magical moments in life.

I visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s studio in Oak Park and then go to the observatory at the top of John Hancock that day. I then had dinner at The Cheese Cake Factory….what a nice day!

Looks like the Xinzhuang line is three years behind schedule!

From the Taiwan News:

"The Taipei MRT Department confirmed that completion of the infrastructure project, aimed at relieving traffic congestion in crowded Xinzhuang, will be delayed by 31 months, a delay that would cost the local government about NT$2.5 billion."

CKS Airport MRT (Taoyuan)

Found some station renderings of the section from Dayuan (first station past CKS Airport) to Jhongli. The architect of all six stations, J.M. Lin, was recently the 2006 merit award by the New York chapter of the AIA.

Thanks taiwan ren for those pics. I think all of those six station designs (from Dayuan to Jhongli) are much much better than the cable car stations in Kaoshiung, and also better than some of the planned Taipei MRT stations. I can only hope all future Taiwanese public buildings/infrustractures are designed to this standard.

-G'day-
