It is amazing for a city of 1.2 million/metro of 1.5 million to be getting the things we are getting; literally billions of dollars in cultural developments, redevelopments of all of the major inner city parks, a yet to be revealed joint stadium/arena complex, and so much more. With the growth we've been seeing the last 15 years, we should be at a metro of 2 million within a decade or so, so we're really just playing catch up to the future

Let's just hope the price of oil barrel won't keep dropping...

There are still components within the arena project that are teasers such as the tower just north of the City of Edmonton building, and the tower just west of the Delta hotel.
